The Armed Forces Medical Service General Directorate is linked to departments, hospitals, teaching & training centers and clinics via video-conferencing connections, thus offering a comprehensive network through which lectures, seminars, conferences and operations are transmitted. By utilizing Multipoint Control Unit (MCU) devices that bridge video-conferencing connections, this service has facilitated in-service training & education for a large number of trainees within the Kingdom thus eliminating the need to travel abroad to obtain said training which, in turn, saves effort and money.
This service offers the General Directorate, hospitals and training centers the opportunity to contact international specialized centers, regardless of their location, so as to facilitate the exchange of expertise and consultation on medical or non-medical issues for the to advance knowledge and nationalize technology.
